Sopheon Acquires Alignent Software
On June 22, 2007 Alignent Software was acquired by Minneapolis-based Sopheon Corporation. Sopheon is an established, global provider of planning, process automation and decision-support solutions for product innovation.
Alignent’s roadmapping software is a complement to Sopheon’s innovation process governance systems. Alignent’s Vision Strategist™ allows the user to visualize and predict how external market and technology trends will impact product plans over time, enabling better decisions on future product direction. Sopheon’s Accolade® software enhances the execution of product plans by automating the processes used to prioritize, develop and commercialize new products. The two applications can be purchased separately. Together, they provide end-to-end strategic product planning and execution support.
