Alignent Software Announces Release of Vision Strategist Roadmap Interchange
New Offering Enhances Roadmap Data Collection and Exchange Capabilities
Carlsbad, California - March 20, 2006 - Alignent Software, the market leader in enterprise strategic roadmapping software, today announced the release of Vision Strategist Roadmap Interchange - a new offering that enables the collection and exchange of strategic planning information among multiple Vision Strategist databases.
Helping companies to make better strategic decisions about the future using roadmaps, Vision Strategist software captures up-to-date strategic planning data, such as market trends, technologies, capabilities and customer needs. Building on Vision Strategist's existing data collection and management functionality, Roadmap Interchange enhances the process of gathering, sharing and managing accurate planning information across an enterprise. Customers now have improved capabilities to collect and collaborate on roadmap data among business units, customers, and suppliers.
With Roadmap Interchange, accurate and current planning data can now be easily shared across multiple databases. Roadmap Interchange enables the secure exchange of strategic planning data among multiple Vision Strategist servers, providing users with the ability to simply and securely share planning information using standard XML file formats. This sharing ability eliminates duplicative roadmapping efforts, while also fostering a more expansive application of Vision Strategist by extending its use among partners, customers and suppliers.
Roadmap Interchange includes the ability to:
- Share planning data across multiple Vision Strategist databases
- Export roadmap data to XML and Excel (XLS) formats
- Create profiles to retain previous import/export settings
- Maintain a history of all imported and exported files
- Select which roadmaps and fields to export, specify a schedule for when roadmaps will be created, and enable electronic delivery of roadmaps
- Control which roadmaps to import, map data to compatible field types, and even choose not to import certain data
- Encrypt data for security while in transfer
- Verify that data exchanges occur only among trusted entities via a public/private key facility
